J.D. Quanvie is a musician and music producer from New Jersey. He primarly plays bass guitar, but he has played and performed trumpet, mellophone, marimba, and other percussive instruments throughout his youth- all while honing his music production skills in FL Studio over the years.

 

J.D. picked up bass in the Fall of 2018 during his Junior year of college. After several years of dedicated self-practice and weekly jam sessions in Atlantic City with his friends who would go on to form Yonder World, he went on to perform around the tri-state area with local indie artists Dream Mode and Gabrielle Lea.

 

J.D. made his first "drum beat" back in middle school, after being introduced to FL Studio. Ever since, he would go on to make the rhythms and melodies in his head come to life as a fun hobby, drawing inspiration from early 2000s video games. During the 2020 pandemic, J.D. decided to get serious with music production after a friend requested an old song he made for a YouTube video for one of his video game project that had to be recomposed by ear. J.D. would go on to surround himself with other producers and artists to hone his craft in taking his unmixed musical compositions and beats and turning them into final products that capture and display the essence of everyone who has played a role in forming his musical soul- from his Uncle Davie, to his closest friends in Polybrain Records, and everyone in between.
